The Peña sisters, Elfida, Bertha, Rosa, Geneva and Marie. In August of 2005 we were invited to Kayla's quinceañera in Pecos. My husband asked me if I wanted to go. It was a hard decision to make. I really wanted to go, but we had spent all summer traveling. We had gone to San Diego, California, in April. In May we went to Eagle Pass, Texas and to San Antonio. In June we went to Pensacola, Florida and New Orleans, Louisiana, and In July we were in Lubbock, Texas. So I thought about it for a few second....Yes, I wanted to go!! OK, OK, so my husband spoils me a little.

Kayla is Geneva's youngest daughter. She is tiny and very beautiful. She looked like a doll in her white quinceañera dress.

In future dreams, through sun lit skies, our lives expand. It is these moments that become the memories of our youth. |

Going back to that small town I grew up in, Pecos. That use to be the big city, the place were we went on Saturday night, for the dances, our friend, and the excitement. So much has changed there...or maybe I have changed.... It is always good to go there and see old friends, and meet new ones.
