We are the Penas from Barstow, Texas

Welcome to the Pena Family site. I am Elfie, daughter of Matilde and Pabla Pena. Matilde is Bernardo and Elena Pena's oldest son. Bernardo Pena was born in 1903 in Barstow and lived there all his life.
Barstow is at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and Farm Road 516, on the Missouri Pacific Railroad, five miles east of Pecos in southwestern Ward County. Barstow has always been a small town with slow living. Nothing much ever happens there. There are less and less people there as the years go by. One of this days it will be no more. Pictures and memories will be the only things left of Barstow.

BIG NEWS
Last month I received an email from Juan Paz Pena.  He is a cousin from the Ft. Stockto side of the family.  Juan had started doing some serious geneology reseach on the Pena family.  He has found some very interesting information on our family history.  I hope to get his permission to post his finding on our website.  Here is a hint -"Parle vouz Francais?"

Angelica Natividad and her friend, Andrea, came to visit during the New Year's holiday.  We enjoyed having them here.  Carlos was also here with us, it was a very good holiday.

He will be back in a couple of months!
