Emilio Gamboa Garcia,John Floyd Hummel, and Jose Renteria Diaz were young men from Barstow that lost their lives while serving our country in Vietnam. Emilio G. Garcia was my mothers cousin. Click on the name and view their memorial page.

Bag of Bones by Stephen King

Horror novel

Mike Noonan, a novel writter goes back home to find that the town is being held in the grip of, Max Devore,  who want to take his granddaughter away from her young widowed mother.  Mike falls in love with the window and finds ghostly visitations and escalating terror. The novel goes into what forces are there and what they have to do with Mike Noonan.

This is a very good book.  Not really scary, but very suspensful.  A must read book for any Stephen King fan.
